Vijay the Choker

The last two weeks Vijay has had major chokes to lose tournaments. At the Honda Classic he missed a very short putt to lose the playoff. This week at Bay Hill he dumped it into the water to lose the tourney.

The good news is his second place finish at Bay Hill was enough to bump Tiger out of the number one spot.

Vijay is finally showing us that he's human and not a machine.

Strike the pose Vijay.

Alright here we go again.
1.Dude you yourself are a dick.
2.Vijay has spent more time practiceing his game in the last year than you will in your life, and he has spent more time practiceing in the last year than you will spend with your wife for the next 20.
3.The thing that you need to understand is that he made it and is makeing a killing playing golf, and your what some 10 handicaper piece of shit who doesnt take the time to relize that he himself is a dick.
4.See the thing is is that Tour pros arent born with scratch handicaps, they work for them, not sit around dream about how they would one day break 80, Vijay works his ass off, its a bitch to even hold ascratch Handicap for more than 3 rounds.
DICK indeed learn what your talking about before you run off your mouth please

Vijay Only lost at Bay Hill because he went for the pin instead of playing safely to the left.

Hats off to Vijay for trying to win it in regulation instead of playing safe and going to a playoff. It took guts to hit it on the line he chose.

I'm not a Vij fan (but may becomeone if he starts treating people better), but I can tell you his shot on 18 was perfect. But sometimes perfect shots don't yield perfect results, and vice versa. That's golf (and life, too).

I've played that shot several times. It always plays longer than you think. Hs fade into the tight flag got caufght by the wind my one yard more than he had real estate. It's too bad (for him), but the shot iself was absolutely perfect.

Either way, Kenny Perry is just such a nice person. It's nice to see him win.

Vijay is the #1 golfer now and it comes from all the hard work, but I will have to agree he does have a problem with some public comments.

I don't know what you guys know about Vijay, but he is an absolutely sterling guy. He's got more character in him than all these other guys combined.

Sure, Mickelson can flash that cute smile and act all prettyboy, and Tiger is always the diplomatic corporate shill, and Els,
is just well, Els. They aren't bad guys. But there isn't anyone on the pro tour who remotely had to deal with the brutal stuff Vijay had to deal with. Your perspective is very different when you come from that kind of a background, and there is a cultural valley too, that journalists and most of America just doesn't get.

It's just not an Indian or a Fijian or an Asian thing to wish people and be chatty and be informal.

Vijay is professional. Its respectful of
the game. Loving the game and it's history to work at it, and having the humility to work at it, that's an Asian cultural aesthetic.

He supports the other guys on tour. He gives helpful tips to the guys playing who might be his competitors. He is incredibly nice to the people who aren't giving him a hard time.

He's done amazing things, and if Tiger or some white guy had done any of the things he had, they'd have declared a national holiday and ordained him by now.

I doubt he cares, because I never knew a person more in love with just hitting a golf club. He lives for that, and it's awesome to see him play.

I'd love to be a choker with career earnings like his!!!It seems he still plays the game for fun-at least a little bit.
Pity his shot didn't come off.Ernie went for something similar in Dubai and it paid off with an eagle to win.Boy did he need the money???

Anyone who thinks Vijay is a dick never played the game seriously and also has never met the man.

Having once sporting a fairly decent handicap I can only marvel at what he accomplishes.

As a person, veryone forgets he withdrew from a lucrative tournament last year in light of the hurricane ravaged Florida. Further he is cordial in practice rounds and signs many of autographs something Tiger can not be bothered with.

Help me Dude, I'm lost.

I was searching for Elvis and somehow ended up in your blog, but you know I'm sure I saw Elvis in the supermarket yesterday.

No honest really, he was right there in front of me, next to the steaks singing "Love me Tender".

He said to me (his lip was only slightly curled) "Boy, you need to get yourself a shiny, new plasmatv to go with that blue suede sofa of yours.

But Elvis said I, In the Ghetto nobody has a plasma tv .

Dude I'm All Shook Up said Elvis. I think I'll have me another cheeseburger then I'm gonna go home and ask Michael Jackson to come round and watch that waaaay cool surfing scene in Apocalypse Now on my new plasma tv .

And then he just walked out of the supermarket singing. . .

"You give me love and consolation,
You give me strength to carry on "

Strange day or what? :-)

I agree,

I love Golf. and recently I have bought stock in it. Not like real stock on Wall street, but a stock market that is strictly for sports.

You have seen it? Its pretty cool. You buy issues for your favorite golfers and you make real money. Not like a fake stock simulator. I cash out Dividends each time your golfer plays in a tournament. Also I can sell my players stock when the price goes up.

check it out if something like this interests you.
heres a link http://allsportstrading.com

This site has lots of data about dividends and game pots and golfers. It also has alot of information about how the market works.

See you there!
